My understanding is that the WPA (Windows Product Activation) process allows minor changes to the computer's original hardware.

However, if it's a genuine copy of XP, you'll only have to phone Microsoft in the event that there is a problem.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Reinstall of XP Pro?

I upgraded my computer a few months ago and converted to XP Pro.

Now I am having second thoughts about my configuration. I would like
to do a reinstall using basically the same hardware. (For one thing, I
would like to change my main disks from RAID to non-RAID, perhaps.)

However, I have activated XP with Microsoft.

If I do a reinstall, will Microsoft reject a new activation??
