Hi,

The problems concerns Microsoft Outlook, using Exchange 5.0 as the mail
engine, running on a Windows 95 clients on an NT 4.0 network OS and
Novell 4.x.

I have set up 'rights' on an Exchange resource - pool car, so that users
should be able too review all entries on the resource - calender, but
only create/change their own entries, from within Outlook. When an
appointment is 'blocked out', the 'rights' allocated to each user
function OK. But if the appointment has just blue line - not blocked
out, then users 'rights' are ignored.

I think the solution resides on the answer to the following....What is
the reason why Outlook sometimes displays a blue line between
appointment times and not block them out as is required?

The functionality required is the ability to review a resource, (another
calender) from within their Outlook client - car pool for example, and
book it out directly from within their Outlook clients, in accordance
with the rights set up on the Exchange resource. Most users have Author
rights.

Any help with this is much appreciated.

 Regards,

ANDY
