<<for anyone thinking of trying Opera, it is quite a good
application - I'm more impressed the longer I use it.>>

Hey, guys--
Please tell us WHY?

In past years, after reading rave reviews about Opera from time to time,
I've laboriously downloaded it 3 times in its past incarnations, only to
chuck it out after a couple of days.

To me, it always seemed to be playing catchup with IE and Navigator, and
seemed to lack a few essential (to me) features. Admittedly I never really
gave it a good tryout, so perhaps I've been a bit unfair, but it did seem
to lack a few basics when I last tried it about a year or more ago, so I
wasn't tempted to persevere. Am I the odd one out here?

Some say it's faster browsing, because of its different loading technology,
but I couldn't see it. Not on a 56K modem, anyway.

Maybe I could be tempted to have another look, but it will take a lot of
persuasion.

If it's any "better" (meaning list of useful facilities and ease of use)
than MyIE, which I've been using for the last 9 months (IE on steroids)
then I'll eat my computer.
