I don't know how you want to "hide" the drives, but with XP disk manager you
can remove the drive letter assignments altogether. Of course, you will need
to run disk manager again to reassign a drive letter in order to access the
drive. If you mean that you want the drive not visible but still accessible,
I am not sure how to do that. One thing you could try is to remove the drive
letter from the drive and instead mount the drive as a directory on your
root drive - XP allows you to do so. Then you could handle the "hiding" in
the same manner as you would any other directories (folders). Access to
folders can be restricted to other users if you have multiple users set up.
Hope this is of some help.

Is it possible to hide a drive other than the root drive in XP Pro? I have
four drives, wanting to hide one, say H:. How about folders other than those
in my user folder? The check box under sharing and security to do so is
grayed out. I ask this for myself, a single user on my machine, and for a
friend who has at least two users on his.
