As a consultant, I need to keep lots of software on my PC.  Among other
things,
I have MS Office 97 and 2000, as well as Corel Suite 8 and 2000 all
installed and
cooperating just fine.

My suggestion is to:
1. Uninstall Corel
2. Reboot the PC
3. Delete the folder C:\COREL (or whatever path you used)
    including all subfolders.
4. Clean your registry.
5. Reboot the PC.
6. Install Corel.
7. Reboot the PC.

Steps 2 and 3 above are critical.  It's unfortunate, but I believe that
Corel
has picked up some bad habits from MS.  Namely, that when an installation is
completed and you see the dialog that says it's complete..... it's not.  The
PC
still needs to be rebooted one more time.

Also, the Install routines try to save time by "....checking for
existing....." parts.
Unfortunately, they do not check for validity, so a corrupted DLL can remain
even after a "complete" reinstall.
