  Most of the common filenames that begin with "Lu" are associated with 
Symantec's "Live Update".  You may be able to get some help from Symantec if 
nobody here can help you.
  (I've recently had Norton on one of my machines get corrupted beyond any 
hope of recovery or even re-installation.  I think there is something nasty 
circulating that attacks Symantec protective products....)
