Well ICS = Internet Connection Sharing is free with Windows 9x, ME and
2000. I have used Win2000 ICS ( which is better then the 98-ME variety )
for two years and it works great for as many clients as you want. It will
work with either fixed IP addresses or DHCP. The Win2000 version is very
good and trouble free and works well with Zone Alarm PRO.
Sygate http://www.sygate.co.kr/ use to be free for two computers and if you
have a old 486 DX2 66 with 16 megs of RAM you can run a free GNAT box light
http://www.gnatbox.com/Pages/gblight.html from a floppy which will give you
a 5 client router ( with limitations) and an industrial strength firewall.
