Hi,

Are you copying the files from the old computer to the new computer ?

If yes, than some programs will not work because they have to be installed
again on the new computer, why will you ask, some program will write some
information to the registry of windows this is a special file that holds all
kinds of information about you system and installed programs, if a program
doesn't find any information about itself in the registry you can get the
message couldn't find the installation program.
