Vcache is part of windows OS - It uses the disk memory the OS or YOU
provide as virtual memory in the performance tab in the system control
panel to provide additional RAM space by saving current real memory (NOT
being currently used) so that the real RAM memory needed by the process
you (or more likely the operating system) has attempted to load in from
disk needs.
The less Vcache is used the faster your system runs (why you want as
much RAM as you can afford), BUT it IS required for those times that you
do NOT have enough real memory. NOTE - Vcache errors will cause the
dreaded blue screen halts, they may be caused by a bad memory chip (I
chased that for 1 day once), a bad mother board (THAT @#$%^&* cost me 6
days) and or hard disk problems in the area used for virtual memory work
space (Fortunately I haven't seen that).
