Dave,

Start AIM, and close out all but your main window/contact list. The bottom
right you will see an icon that says PREF, click there and on the left side
of the next screen you will see a list of preferences, select "Sign On/Off"
In the top section (Sign on) check the top two, and uncheck the bottom two
of that section. Next section, Internet Connection, self explanitory....
Next section is Auto Upgrade, should be set for "Final Release"... and the
bottom section (unlabled) uncheck the top box, check the next two, and
uncheck the bottom box. Check "Apply" then "OK"

That should cure your popup screens within AIM!

Good Luck... HTH

Why does the AOL instant messanger sign-on screen come up when I'm in the
process of logging into OE 6.0? Is there a setting I can change to stop
this.
