I have recently purchased a new computer with XP Pro and have loaded several new programs.  Many of them give one the option of not placing an icon in the taskbar but many do not thus giving me a huge amount of icons.  Could someone please tell me how to manually remove these icons at startup?  Thank you so much for all your help.
