I installed sp2 also.  And, also got the yellow triangle at the bottom.  When I clicked on it and then clicked on "Exit"....my connection with my server  (SBC DSL) was gone.  I uninstalled sp2 and then had to call my server to assist me with reconnecting.  I have not reinstalled sp2.  I do have Norton, so am not going to worry too much about viruses.  By the way, the yellow triangle was on top of an internet connection icon....plus I had my regular internet icon also.  That is why i chose to try to exit the unfamiliar looking one.
