What's the default application? Sounds like it's missing or corrupt in some
way.In 98 you can change a file association by holding the shift key,
selecting "Open with", then selecting the app you wish to use, such as
Internet Explorer. Be sure to check the "Always use..." box.

When I attempt to open a file with .jpg extension all I get is the dreaded
blue screen.  I am running Windows 98 and in the folder options the jpeg
image has a default file extension of .jpg.  Please help me as I have taken
many, many pictures of our 10 day old grandson and would like to send them
to friends.
