It's called the "Page" file in Windows XP. Here is a link to a very good
article by one of Microsoft's Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) that
provides "one" authoritative opinion. In general, Windows XP does a very
good job of managing itself and settings such as this are best left alone by
the average user.
I recommend you add more physical memory (RAM) if your system will accept
it. Check the specifications in the computer manual, or on the computer
manufacturers Web site, for memory type and maximum amount.
