Dianne, I don't know what your level of expertise is, but you'd be better
off to do a fresh install of W98 in any case, rather than retrieve previous
settings, even if you're able.

However, I know that it can be daunting if you're not entirely sure of what
you're doing.

But a good move. Good Luck.
