Hello Everyone `~^ )

I'd like to upgrade my current version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader from 5.0.1
(3/27/01) to the latest 5.0.5 release.

Can anyone tell whether I can simply install the upgrade over top of the old
installation, or if it is preferable, and perhaps mandatory, to first
completely uninstall the existing installtion before installing the newer
version?

I would have thought this to be a common question that the Adobe support
site would address, but my search of their site yielded no answers. Perhaps
they have posted how-to information about upgrading, but if so it must be
tucked away in some dusty corner that I have yet to stumble upon.

In any case, any and all advice is welcome.

Happy New Year! to one and all.
