In Control Panel double click on the Power Management icon. You will be able
to set the amount of time that Windows will put your system into standby
mode after inactivity. So if you were to set it for 30 minutes, your system
would go into standby mode after 30 min of inactivity. You can also set the
times for your monitor and hard drive.
