I have to agree with Al Thompson about having two hard drives one for the
operating system and one for storage. I have lot of different files that I
have downloaded and use like winrar, drivers for video card, and various
others that I keep on another drive just in case something happens to my OS i
still have them. I have a CD burner and I have burned a lot of the files to
that but certain files change like video card drivers and I hate to hunt
through the different disks to find the most current ones. I have had my
install of win 2000 die on me before and is hard to get that to save your
files before or during a reinstall. Once you have had to reinstall your OS
and hunt down the files you set your system back to how you had it. This of
course is just my two cents worth. And drives are cheep you should be able to
pick up about a 20 GB for around $100.

hope this helps.
