Loy,

There are several things which may bring your PC out of hibernation, but the most likely culprit(s)
are...

- A scheduled task...check to see if there are any set up in Control Panel / Scheduled Tasks.
- An Network Interface Card (NIC)...if you have ISDN, ADSL, or Cable connection, check your Network
Adapters in Device Manager - on the Power Management tab check to see if the NIC is set to "Allow
this device to bring the computer out of standby".
- Any vibration, (usually a refrigerator motor or furnace) that moves your mouse even slightly.
- Cats walking on keyboards

One thing to keep in mind is that power management was intended for laptop PC's to save power when
they were not connected to a docking station. It was not intended for desktop PC's but it won't do
them any harm. If it really becomes annoying, it should be possible to disable power management in
your BIOS settings. hth
