Your floppy was probably write protected by BIOS setting. Go setup and
select the option to turn it off.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Floppy Drive Problem
Hello: I'm using WIN 95. When I try and save a file to the floppy drive
from WORD, I receive the following message:
MICROSOFT WORD
Cannot save the file. The location you want to save to is write protected.
I have checked the floppies, all OK, and the tag has not been moved to
'write protect.' I have tried different floppies, the result is the same. I
used Norton Utilities 2000 to check the A Drive; it reports no problems. I
have also cleaned the head. I have no difficulties opening files from the A
Drive.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
