Question for all:

Every once in a while, an icon appears out of nowhere with the name "~". It's an unknown file type. It doesn't open with anything. It just appears and sits on the desktop. If I delete it or move it from the desktop, soon after, a new one appears. I connect to the internet via dial-up connection with ZoneAlarm as my firewall on Windows 98 SE. I'm using IE6. Any idea what this icon thing could be?????
