I saw a similar problem recently, and it was solved by using the "Hijack
this" utility available at:
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/
In his case, a program Named "Net Turbo" was at fault, and an uninstall
cured the problem.

Seems like some off shore gambling web site has taken over my Internet
Explorer Address bar.
Everytime I try to go online, instead of opening to my opening page, IE
attempts to connect to this other site.
