How do you plan on displaying the slideshow? If you are going to be using a
PC with Windows and a monitor then the Roxio Easy CD Creator suite contains
PhotoRelay which will take numerous pictures and music and automatically
make a slideshow with transitions. It takes the length of the music and
divides it by the number of pictures to determine the display time for each.
It can save the slideshow to your hard drive or burn it to a CD. You might
also want to look at ArcSoft as I think they produce PhotoRelay. If you are
going to be using a DVD player attached to a TV then the Roxio package can
also create VCD's. I've only done it twice and wasn't that impressed with
the results but it may have had more to do with the quality of the photos I
used than the software itself. Hopefully you'll get several replies that
will give you more options and opinions.

Good Luck,

Joe

Subject: [PCSOFT] Slide show program

I'm in need of a program that will allow me to take pictures of my daughter
and future son-in-law and make a slide show. I want to be able to put the
show on a CD and show it at their reception. I would like to be able to have
music in the background (also on the CD) and have different fade in and out
of the pictures.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good software program that can help
me do this?

Thanks!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
