I recently bought a new computer, Compaq Presario SR1913WM, with Windows 
XP sp2.  It came with a trial subscription to Norton that runs out in 
about 18 days.  I don't intend to keep Norton (I'll go to Avast! free 
version, which suited me fine on the old computer.)

I've heard in various places of people having problems uninstalling 
Norton. What's the best way to uninstall it quickly, easily and safely?  
I'd rather know how to avoid problems (and error messages) before I start.
