I don't know about PC Accelerator, but Cacheman 3.80 will not return Windows to its
original settings if you uninstall it. I don't have the latest version of Cacheman, but in
3.80, you have to go into Settings|Windows 98 and then choose Standard Configuration,
or whichever one you want, hit save when it tells you to for the registry changes to be
made, and then reboot your machine for the new settings to become functional.
Assuming that the new versions are similar, you will only be making your life more
difficult if you uninstall Cacheman while the old settings are in effect.

In one sense, at least, you're right: Virtual Memory and the Disk Cache changed by
Cacheman are two different things, so you may have funny cache settings which have
been set by Cacheman while your Virtual Memory is still on the Windows default.

Thank you.
