Very clear (not quoted fully because of length),
but I still don't "get it"... Sorry.
If they sold you a BOXED MS disk right off a store shelf
as an after market Full Release, do you have the box,
the book, and everything that came with it?
At the very least, do you have an MS CD in a jewel case
(or card board sleeve) with an Orange sticker on it with
a very long serial number (Product Key) on it?

The last Full versions I bought were for Win95B.
Since then I only got store upgrades, not Full versions.
My WinME upgrade has a sticker on the lid of the box
that says "Certificate of Authenticity" with a double headed
green arrow logo below it. It is partly obscured by the
OfficeMax Anti-shoplifting plastic barcode.
To tell the truth, I'm lucky I still have the box so I can see that.
