hi miriam,i am sorry but i owe some further explanation to my earlier post
on the subject.my understanding is that the long narrow bar at the very bottom
starting from the "start"button and ending at the comp.clock is referred to as task bar.(i am willing to stand corrected by more knowledgable members)the first portion immediately after the "start"button is the "quick launch tool bar"the next one where minimised windows are shown is the task bar and the end portion containing the clock, speaker icon etc is the system tray.what i suggested in my earlier post applies to the system tray.sorry if i have misguided--have a nice day--venkat viswanathan
