This could be one or several things.
Not all equipment is CD-RW compatible.
It takes a much stronger laser power to read
them and some older readers will not "ramp
up" to that power calibration.
I use a different program to burn, but in general,
if you want to burn an AudioCD in the most
compatible way use the Option "Disk At Once"
if that is available. This will force a single session,
and require a blank disk to start. It will not add the
two second gap between songs, and ignores at
least one trouble prone section of the CD (PMA)
during the burn.
Note also that CD-R disks are generally more stable
for long term storage but I guess you are using CD-RW
so you can erase them, and "shelf life" is not a concern.
