I got a copy of an older version of Mavis at a place called Interact in
Pasadena, CA www.interactcd.com. They sell used CDs for dirt cheap. I
haven't looked on line to see if they have any, but worth a shot. I used to
be near there and picked up tons of good stuff for a real bargain. I'll also
third or fourth Mavis. I was a hunt and peck typist till then, now I'm up to
about 45WPM. You probably don't need the latest with is possibly V15 by now.
V9 is what I have and its more than adequate.

Thanks for the answers. Is there a trial or demo version of Mavis Beacon?
I've seen it in the stores. Meanwhile, I was recommended a freeware program
"KP Typing Tutor", off list, which seems pretty good.
