Bryan,
It is very possible that your friend's cd-rom drive is too slow. He may
require an 8x or higher drive, 2x is ancient and slow. Have him check on
the cd-rom speed requirements with IBM (or check the specs on the box).
The program may also require more RAM than he has, check that too.
