I HIGHLY recommend 'Replicator' (free) from www.karenware.com.
but I don't think you can set it to run at startup.

I have tried a number of backup programs recently and
have settled on Second Copy 2000 to copy data to
a hard disk folder and then schedule Replicator to
copy the folder to a CD-RW disk.  Second Copy
can be scheduled to run at Startup, Shutdown, etc.

Replicator is the only program I have found that will
reliably copy a large number of files to CD-RW.
