I ran into a problem when running Microsoft Money version 3 under any
version of NT (including XP). Everything seems to work fine till you try
to do an account balance. There are two fields (service charge and
interest) that come up filled in with "ALC<402c>" instead of blank.
Searching through the program code, it appears that this is related to
Pclassregedit - an apparent class.
Some research show that the same problem comes up if Money 3 is run
under Linux using Wine. Does anyone have ideas on this? This probaby is
a C++ WIndows programmer question.
I know it is a very old program, but the newer versions of Money are a
real resource hog and my wife refuses to move up. Quicken is slightly
better, but it does not include an import utility to handle Money files
properly.
Thanks for any suggestions to finding out what causes this.
Peter
