While trying to move a message from OE98 to a floppy drive I got the
following error message:

"Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try
again."

My system is a self-built K-6 233MHZ MMX/64MB SDRAM/8.6 GB HDD, 4 MB Video
Adapter, running Outlook 98 on Windows 95 OSR 2.5. I used a TX motherboard.
It is configured to allow Windows to manage the virtual memory, and at the
time this error message was received the computer showed my system resources
to be 86%: No other windows were open.
Tried as I could, I couldn't move the file to the floppy since I kept
getting the same message! A reboot of the system did not solve the problem
either, neither a total shut down and restart.
My computer knowledge is very elementary, but out of a hunch I decided to
rename the file to a much shorter name and try again, and presto! I
succeeded. (The original file name was almost a sentence).

My questions are these:
(a) Why should a very long file name lead to such an error message when my
system memory and resources were more than adequate (I guess) ?
(b) With 64MB of SDRAM do I need to set my own virtual memory or should I
continue to allow windows to manage the memory? If the former, what should
it be?
