If you found Nero difficult, I wouldn't give much for your chances of being
able to use anything else. It's generally considered the best.
There's nothing much simpler than using the Nero wizard. Make sure you use
it in Wizard form, just follow the buttons.
If making a new data CD (as against copying an existing CD) when you get to
the selection panel, just navigate in the right pane to the files you want
to copy, and drag them across into the left pane. Keep an eye on the status
bar at the bottom to ensure you don't overfill the new CD. 650 Mb is about
the usual safe maximum. Some blanks can go higher.
A tip:. If you are copying a music CD, select a burn speed a step or two
less than the maximum for best quality. This gives the error-correcting
mechanism a little more time to work properly. You'll see this selection
window come up at about the second or 3rd button. It makes little
difference to the actual burn time.
