Right click the DVD drive icon in My Computer, select Properties, and you 
will se a tab for autoplay.   There are several options.  Set whatever 
action (eg "no action") you wish.

Just right clicking the drive icon and selecting "open" may defeat the 
autoplay if you are quick enough.
