I moved all my programs under the Office Shortcut Bar to my Quicklaunch
bar.  I haven't noticed any difference in Resources yet, but I feel it's
easier to get to my stuff, and I have one less program running and
loading.  And I only have 9 icons on my desktop.

I've got wallpaper running and I have Norton Virus and a fax program
running, waiting to receive faxes.  I think the fax program (WinFax 9.0)
uses a lot of resources.  And, of course, I've got other stuff running at
startup.
