I hate to be a 'soggy comforter', but I downloaded the patch referred to
above. When I attempted to install it, I was informed that 'no Corel
WordPerfect 6.1 version could be found on my machine.' Apparently, after
Corel purchased WP from Novell, they (it?) made changes to v. 6.1. Version
numbers are mentioned (6.0.1251[?] and another one) but the bottom line is
this comprehensive patch is not designed for the Novell version.

The WPCSET.BIF advice sounds 'sound', as does closing remnant WP
sub-routines from the task manager. Good luck.
