I always run my F-Prot from a CD or floppy with just the following commands
in my bootup config.sys:
DOS=HIGH,UMB
DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:ON /V
DEVICEHIGH= your cd-rom driver here if necessary
I never run the program from the hard drive as the drive usually is infected
and I get poor results. If you have to, run a second antivirus in Windows,
just as a precaution. I use WinImage to make high capacity floppies as the
F-prot program is too large with current def files to fit now.

Causeway DOS extender is part of F-PROT. So message relates some memory
problems,
most propably software conflict. I think there is CONFIG.SYS it is hidden or
soemthing
in AUTOEXE.BAT. As F-PROT has own extender try to run it safe mode command
prompt only
or selected mode.
