Further to my last letter on this subject, I've now trialled Ulead 360 a
little further.
I joined 5 rather difficult photos--with varying exposures. Ulead did a
great job first time up, made the necessary adjustments to all exposures
without any user intervention, and got the joins exactly right.
The result is not quite perfect, but probably as good as you'll get. As
good as, perhaps better, than Corel Photopaint.
I tried a couple of freewares---"2-pic", which wasn't worth the effort
(poor interface, even worse help, no step-by-step instructions, and I
didn't persevere with it. The first couple of trials produced awful
results, and it can't handle more than 2 pix anyway).
The other freeware was ADGPanorama, but it requires DirectX8 which my old
system does not support. So I couldn't test it.
