Bill,
It would have been nice if you had told us what steps you have already
tried on your own, so that you (and the list) don't end up receiving
40-50 repetitive suggestions for something you have done.
I am going to assume that you have Win95...
1. Click START --> PROGRAMS --> START UP
Is there a FAXWORKS item in there? If so, then start over and
CLICK START-->SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS--> START MENU PROGRAMS-->REMOVE
now use the explorer-like window to open PROGRAMS-->START UP
and remove the FAXWORKS item.
If that didn't help,
2. Click START--> RUN --> and type in SYSEDIT.
A. Check AUTOEXEC.BAT for a command line that has FAXWORKS.EXE
(or some variation like FAXWRKS1.EXE)
B. Check WIN.INI for a RUN= or LOAD= statment that includes
FAXWORKS.EXE
