The only reference I find is to something called Nova star backup (Also
PC backup).
This may be on your program menu or on an external drive. 
The easiest solution may be to remove this program and use one of the
many free backup programs available.

Running Vista, Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU e4500 @ 2.40 ghZ (Whatever that 
means.)

I get messages on start-up and have no idea what they mean. There does
not 
seem to be a problem running any of my programs. Are these cause for 
concern?

First message:
 Error #: -310
Error #: 81606
Not a Correct Index File
index file is exclusive, locked, or dos read-only -index file must be 
corrupt
DATE_TAG

 Second message:
and the same thing except the second Error #: 81607

 Third message:
then I get a "NSENGINE.exe - Fatal Application Exit
 I(in circle indicating "information" Memory Error"
