I had never seen a memory manager on Real Player's web
site, so I took a look around there, not finding what you
mentioned. A quick search of the Web found a product
called: FreeMem Pro at:
http://www.meikel.com/freemem/
I have not tested or used this particular product, but typically they
all do the same thing and this one is in the price range with most
of these products. A memory manager is an excellent tool for
anyone's system, most especially if they experience memory leaks,
applications that take up ram memory and refuse to release it back
to the system, then continually taking new bytes of ram until your
system slows down or locks up.
I have used Ram Charger, Tweak Tray, Memory Plus and others.
Typically they all either work automatically, as FreeMemPro above
or require manual actions by the user like Tweak Tray.
I have not used Freemem Pro, but the concept is rather universal and
works well, especially if you have software applications with memory
leaks.
