Recently, MS office Applications are crashing with a Not Responding error.
Particularly Excel. One particular spreadsheet has lots of comments, if you
right click on the comment and select delete, the program stops responding
(hour glass, white box, then not responding). I have noticed in the error
reports in this and other Office Apps, NTDll.dll and Kernel32.dll are at the
top of the report.
I've tried to repair Office, removed and installed office but no joy. I also
noticed that around the time these Not Responding errors started, there is
an event crypt32, that refers to a file authrootstl.cab being downloaded. I
removed this using add remove programs but still no joy. I'm currently
running a virus scan, but NAV is up to date and the last full scan (7/1)
didn't detect any viruses. Some SP1 & SP2 updates have been installed, but
these have been there since October last year.
Any ideas appreciated
