Subject: compare directories
I have gone through quite a bit of shareware and freeware without success.
What I want is a utility that will allow me to compare the files in two
directories and delete the duplicates, or copy unique files from one
directory to the other. I own a very good duplicate file finder named
Advanced Space Hunter, but it looks for duplicate files without regard of
what directory they are in. I want to look for duplicates only between the
directories and trees on either side, not within the tree on one side. Such
utilities were common for DOS, but I need it for Windows. Any suggestions
would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Peter,
The program I use is called Comparator and is available here: http://softbytelabs.com/Frames.html be sure to get the freeware one as there is a Pro version. You might also take a look at Replicator here http://www.karenware.com/ in the 'free programs' area.
Good hunting,
