Darlene,

Windows has this capability built right in.

Point and click on plain empty space on your desktop and
then press F1.  Go to the SEARCH tab and look for:
DIRECT CABLE CONNECTION.

The various topics displayed will explain everything
from HOW TO SET UP to HOW TO USE and more.
