I disabled the Norton 5.0 Anti-Virus Auto-protect feature today because it was dragging
down my system to badly. When I did I got this error message -

An error occurred when removing Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect from the Windows 95 Registry
file. This file has a virus.

I shut down everything and ran a scan of every file and no viruses were found. Has anyone
had this happen??? How can I tell if I do indeed have a virus???

I thought it was strange also because I'm running Windows 98 on a clean install of a new
HD that never had Windows 95 on it. Any suggestions on what I should do???

Thanks
Linda Aldridge
