If you are accessing any networks, you will need the Microsoft Network
client - and I may be wrong but I believe that if you do enter an empty
password the FIRST time you see it you won't get prompted again......

I'll do what David says but I also need to set the "Primary Network
Log-on" as Windows Logon instead of Microsoft Network Logon. You can do
this by right clicking the Network Neighborhood in the desktop (or
Start->Settings->Control Panel->Network) and clicking properties. Based

Start->Settings->on
my experience, even if I have deleted the .pwl files in C:\Windows but
if it set as "Microsoft Network Logon", it will still prompt for a
password. Hope this helps.

Do a search for any files with a .pwl extension (search on *.pwl) and
delete them all. Then when you log back on again, just put in the user
name with out a password, select ok, and you shouldn't see it again.

For the life of me, I don 't remember the answer to this simple
question. My father-in-law has a Win98 machine and at startup, he is
asked for a user name and password and would love to bypass that. Any
Ideas?
