Oh yes! I installed Win95 on a machine once, and none of the normal fonts
would work in any program. I finally called MS (paid the fee even!) and it
took 2 days before the tech asked the question: what printer have you
installed? The people I installed for hadn't bought their new printer yet,
so I had not installed anything. That's the problem, he said. Install any
printer and your fonts will reappear. Worked like a charm. In none of the
documents I have seen for installing Win95 have I seen a reference to this
necessity. Sigh!
