When that's happened to me I end up doing a reinstall. If the reinstall
fails you should get a message telling what files are missing or have the
wrong date/version number.

Subject: [PCSOFT] IE Repair
What do I need to do if when trying to repair IE through the Add/Remove, it
says that it can't be repaired? I've tried rebooting, then running
scandisk, and defrag, but still get the message. Can I reinstall IE or
would it be better to uninstall it and reinstall fresh? I upgraded to IE
5.01 from a CD from Microsoft. Anyone else had any problems with IE 5.01?
Is there a service patch I need to download from the Microsoft site?
Thank you,
Susan Hays
