If there is more than 1 entry for the hard disk
controller - remove all instances of them, and reboot.  Windows
will find
new hardware and re-install same.

Additionally, it has been suggested on this list and elsewhere
that deleting the PCI Bus in Device Manager and allowing Win95 to
sort everything out on reboot will 'facilitate' the
redistribution of resources (Com 1, Syquest drive etc.).
